This short video is informative on the different elements that lead to addiction with the associated risks. We are using this video to advertise our topic NACC, on social media to raise awareness. Our audiences are young men and women; they usually spend their free time on social media; therefore, we use social media to target them. We will pay Instagram and TikTok famous to advertise this video and our lego to help target a high number of people. Many of these people hesitate to ask for help because of the criticism. However, our organization will help them overcome the issue of addiction. 

       As a group, we relate to our audience because we know addiction starts at this age as young adults and we would like to prevent it. Also, we will use the quote “It is not like you can buy a new brain” because all these elements impact the brain severely.

 This will persuade the audience to seek help as their life is in danger. Our supporters will be the people that have recovered from addiction as they have been in that place, and some may have the associated risks. Our opposers will be young men and women that do not consume drugs and alcohol. Because they do not know the struggle to overcome addiction, they would not want the money to go to these programs.

Some of the rhetorical moves that we used in this PAC are

 Ethos:  the video of Terrie telling us that she used to be a smoker.

Logos: some of the facts about the risks of these substances and the statistical findings

Pathos: the picture of the brain to target their emotions; “ It is not like you can buy a new brain.”

 This PAC will benefit high school and college students because they are young adults, and these particular people go through depression. They stress about school/college work and some of them about their future. 

This topic is essential because many people start drinking weekly; little do they know that they will become addicts. Many of them consume drugs to relieve stress, and with time, it becomes part of their routine. Raising awareness on this topic will make people think twice before consuming alcohol and drugs. Moreover, this topic is significant because many people put their lives in danger due to stress when they have alternative options such as talking to a therapist. For the past three years, High School students have started vaping for fun which is very dangerous because they are damaging their brains that have not entirely developed.  

This issue is applicable because young adults keep consuming substances such as vaping. Also, conflicts are increasing worldwide, increasing depression and stress, pushing people to consume these substances ( nicotine, alcohol, caffeine, and cannabis). Finally, we think this issue will be more applicable in the future if the government does not create strict rules to prevent these people from consuming them and program to help those in need.
